Hello, Jeebus people. I will update you all on my church life here in Madison. I went to church on Sunday with Paul (a friend from high school, some of you know him). We went to St. Paul's, which is located on State Street. The architecture's pretty funky - part of the seating has two stories, and the altar is in the middle of church. I sat down and who did I find sitting behind me, but Crystal, the girl with red hair who used to come to The Quest a couple years ago. I don't know how many of you remember her, I'm sure Jennifer (youth minister) and possibly Ryan or someone remember her. Mass was alright, except the Eucharist was like, chunks of bread, which was kind of weird.

Anyway, that was on Sunday at 6:00 mass. Today there was a student involvement fair and the church had its doors open for an open house thing. They had ice cream and stuff inside, and older students just sitting around talking to people. Michelle Van Handel was there, I don't know if any of you remember her - she was a senior when I was a freshman. So that was pretty cool. Everyone's so nice there, and they seem to have lots of stuff planned. I mean, I love Nativity and everything, but...coming up with every activity kind of sucks, you know? It's exhausting after a while. So, yeah. They have stuff planned, like a mass on the hill outside my dorm, a BBQ, and a block party. They also have this thing called Alpha Omega, which is a youth group. They said they have worship music and speakers, so it sounds cool.

I miss all of you - you need to update all of us who are gone on what you guys do at Youth Liturgy meetings!

hey all~
Yesterday was the mass of the holy spirit, something they have been doing at Jesuit universities for hundreds of years ;) It was really beautiful though and it was centering for me. ..it is the thing that makes me feel the most at home so far. I guess it is a constant in my life, with everything else changing, at least mass is pretty much the same as it has always been. But oh my goodness, Gesu Parish is beautiful...and the music was also amazing. You guys should have a field trip down here! Ok, gotta go to class ;)

Hello Everyone! I'm sitting here eating one of Carrie's cookies that I hoarded from last sunday...yum, a little taste of home. I was sad that I missed seeing some of you before I left...but I'm excited for you all, it seems like youth stuff is going to be really exciting this year. I went to the University Ministry meeting today, and I signed up for info on retreats, lectoring, service and that kind of thing. I'm v. excited! Oh, and I met this girl who was like Colin in a different person. She's here on the evan's scholarship, so she was a caddy, but she hated it. She likes to play sardines, has curly blond hair, and she even says "mmmkay". I just about peed my pants when she said that! Ok, I think it's about time for bed. Talk to you later!

I don't think Youth Liturgy is happening this Sunday due to it being Labor Day. Also, Heather's not part of this blog (although not for lack of being invited) and I don't think she reads it.

But, yeah. I guess I'm just posting to say goodbye to people like Jenny and Colin, who I didn't get to say goodbye to in person. Good luck to you guys with everything...as long as you stick with it, you can do anything. The only advice I have to give is that all the labels people give each other in high school is one big crock of shit. All you need to do is have fun, try your best in school, and remember everything you do should be done with the mentality that you know it's right. Ignore all the crap everyone else gives you - they're not worth it.

Again, someone's going to have to give me dates and whatever so that I can still update the sidebar for you guys. For anyone who doesn't have it, my s/n is tikalee19, feel free to im me if you ever need/want to. And as always, everyone's email address is on the sidebar there, just click on the person's name.

Ahhhh!!! I'm so upset that I missed saying goodbye to half the seniors last week!!! I did get to see Kristy on Monday, but everyone else I probably won't see until Christmas!! Stupid work. I'm glad I'm almost done there. They always schedule me for Sunday nights--it never fails. Grrr. >:(

Well, anyway, I guess I'll say goodbye in here, since I have to work tonight, too, and am going to miss saying goodbye to everyone else. *cries* It's been so awesome knowing all of you! I wish you all the best of luck at college. I know I missed a lot of hugs last week, and am going to miss a lot of hugs tonight, so I'll put a big one here:

*HUG!*

I hope I can see you all again soon. I will continue to read your blogs, of course--keep all of us updated on how college is going, if you can find time. :D *hughug* I will miss you all!

Ok, since Jackie and I work late tonight, that isn't going to work (unless Heather wants to go alone).

Saturday, Carrie and Bob have to go to a 50th wedding aniversery.

Sunday, we have Jesus.

So, yeah.

Let me know what you guys would like to do or not do.
